26 Thanksgiving Dinner (get your tickets today)
OUR ANNUAL “FEAST OF THANKSGIVING” dinner will be served on Thursday, November 26, in the vestry,
at noon. Seating is limited so you must reserve the number of seats you, your family, and friends will need by
getting tickets ahead of time. The tickets are free to all. You may pick them up before and after Sunday
services, Wednesdays at the Gathering, and weekdays in the church office. Sign-up sheets for donations of
pies, and other food items for the meal are in the vestry. Monetary donations may be given to Rita Newell
directly, or to the church (memo line: Thanksgiving Dinner) at any time.
WHITE CROSS CONTRIBUTIONS - The poster is up in the Vestry. Please check to see if there is something
that you can provide. While this is an American Baptist Women’s Ministries sponsored project, the entire
church is encouraged to participate. If you have questions, please ask a Circle Leader or Wandah Clark.
AGAIN THIS YEAR, the Board of Christian Education is sponsoring an Advent Devotional Booklet. We are in
need of at least enough articles, poems, etc., to print one for each day from Thanksgiving through Christmas
Day; if we have more material than that, we will have sufficient inspirational thoughts to complete the Season,
to Epiphany. Please remember your submissions are due TODAY!!! Speak with Wandah, Marion Holmes, or
Rob Hansen if you have any questions. HAPPY WRITING!!
AN ADVENT BIBLE STUDY will take place the four Mondays preceding Christmas. The aim of the study is to
help participants to better understand the events that led up to the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. The study will
begin on Nov.30 and continue December 7,14, and 21. We will meet in the Parlor at 6:30 pm.
CHET BIXBY, would like the thank everyone for prayers said on his behalf during his recent medical issues.
