to feature area musicians

On Sunday evening, April 27 at 6 p.m. the church sanctuary will be filled with uplifting songs by area church

musicians and singers, to benefit the Court Street Baptist Church food cupboard and the youth group.

A year ago, “….In Concert” was presented as a onetime evening of truly special music. It is being reprised

due to numerous requests.  Last year, 14 musicians from the Auburn area staged the concert before more than 200 people to benefit the same two causes. The audience contributed $816.00.

Returning to bring us more memorable music are Darren and Emily Avery; Kathy Haley and Phil House; Lee

and Julia Hixon; Rick and Valerie Messana; Mitch Thomas; and Marc and Cathy Laplante. We also will welcome Dianne Hirsh, whom many of you know from her beautiful solos with the Delta Heart Choir and duets with Rob Hansen. Those who attended last spring remember the blessing; if you weren’t able to be here, please join us for this exceptional service, during which a freewill offering will be taken. Following the performance, the CSBC music committee will host a time of refreshments and fellowship.

Graduates’ Reception is May 18

The Board of Christian Education is planning the Graduates’ Reception for Sunday, May 18 at 6 p.m.  Please mark this date on your calendar. More informationon the speaker and the program will be forthcoming. Please notify Rick Hansen (telephone 576-0774) or a member of the Board of Christian Education if you know of any students graduating this year, including students

from high school, college, technical college and graduate schools. The board will soon be sending out invitations and wants to make sure everyone is invited.
